About Me

I am a third-year Fine Art student in Chongqing, originally from Xiamen, China. While my major is Oil Painting, my artistic practice expands into sculpture, installation, and mixed media. I often work with ceramics, steel, and bamboo, materials that allow me to translate inner experiences into tangible forms. My recent works explore themes of family roles, social pressure, and the hidden fragility beneath resilience. Beyond my studio practice, I find inspiration in music, performance, and everyday aesthetics. I enjoy playing traditional Chinese instruments such as the guzheng, and I am fascinated by how cultural heritage can merge with contemporary expression. I also experiment with creative makeup and nail art, treating them as small but powerful acts of self-styling and personal storytelling. These interests often flow back into my fine art practice, giving it a more diverse and intimate texture. I am preparing to continue my studies in the UK, where I hope to deepen my exploration of contemporary art, expand into immersive and experimental practices, and exchange perspectives with artists from different cultural backgrounds.
